How Now BLUE Cow

I have finally finished my little blue cow bib. It's quite a cute bib! My set of bibs are done. Here are the photos from my work.

Both of the finished bibs.

These bibs are looking good! I still need to wash them by hand. I have my next few projects lined up:
  • Crocheted blanket
  • Cross stitch quilt
  • Cross stitch birth record
These are all for Zoey! She's going to be quite the little spoiled girl. At least, I'm going to be spoiling her. If you're interested in getting these bibs/quilt/record you can get them at any major craft store. I picked them up at Micheal's craft store. You can also check out Dimensions Crafts. There are other themes for these projects as well.

Happy Crafting!

Rainbow Blanket

So, I've been working on Zoey's crocheted blanket. Here are some photos:

Here's about one skein's worth

Here is the skein on top of the blanket

Close up of the shells

I'm doing a basic shell pattern on this blanket. The shells are 5 double crochets in one stitch and then you skip 2 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch, skip 2 and repeat.

It's a very easy pattern but it still gives a nice affect. I went with a rainbow variegated yarn because I didn't want to make it too girlie (weird I know, since it's for a girl). Zane's blanket has green, yellow, and white. I like how the variegated yarn works with this pattern.

Unfortunately, I will have to take this blanket completely out because it's too tight and not light and airy like Zane's. It's more like a scarf than a nice soft beautiful baby blanket. I will get this right eventually. I still have about 4-5 months before she will be gracing us with her presence!

Babe the Bib

So, I've been working on some projects for my future niece who's due to be born on July 23rd. They are planning on naming her Zoey. Her older brother is Zane. So They are Zane and Zoey (awww)!

The first finish project is a cross stitch bib. It's a pig that's saying Oink! Oink! Here are the photos of working on it and the finished project. I still have another bib with a cow on it, as well as a cross stitch quilt. I need to wash this bib to get rid of the blue "trace" lines. I will probably do it later when I get everything done.

Finished with the pinks

Samus the cat wouldn't let me take photos!

Next on the cross stitch calendar is another bib with a cow on it. We'll have to see how that one goes. Maybe I will work on Zoey's crocheted blanket for a bit.

The couch were crafts are made!

Well, I figured I would share my special spot. I craft on my couch in my own little corner. I enjoy sitting here because I can move around (it's a large couch) and I have two different tables that I can set my stuff down on. That's the wonderful couch corner where I'm the best at my craftiness! :)

Crafting from the couch

Hi! So, it was suggested to me by a friend to start a blog about my crafting escapades. So, I've decided to start one. I've been doing small crafts on and off for the last few years. My first big craft project was a blanket for my nephew Zane, who is 19 months right now. I crocheted it, and it's one of his favorites. Now, I'm working on a blanket for his future baby sister (due in July). I will have photos of her blanket as I work on it.

Keep in touch and I hope you enjoy my craft projects. :)
