So, I've been working on Zoey's crocheted blanket. Here are some photos:
Here's about one skein's worth

I'm doing a basic shell pattern on this blanket. The shells are 5 double crochets in one stitch and then you skip 2 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch, skip 2 and repeat.
It's a very easy pattern but it still gives a nice affect. I went with a rainbow variegated yarn because I didn't want to make it too girlie (weird I know, since it's for a girl). Zane's blanket has green, yellow, and white. I like how the variegated yarn works with this pattern.
Unfortunately, I will have to take this blanket completely out because it's too tight and not light and airy like Zane's. It's more like a scarf than a nice soft beautiful baby blanket. I will get this right eventually. I still have about 4-5 months before she will be gracing us with her presence!
